KELLY OSBOURNE VS. LADY GAGA VS. SHARON OSBOURNE: The Osbourne/Gaga feud that ended the week last week continued over the weekend with a third player, SHARON OSBOURNE, who entered the fray, hitting back at LADY GAGA for criticizing her daughter.
The feud started when Kelly made some comments about Gaga gaining weight on the show “Fashion Police”. Gaga didn’t take kindly to this and took to her website to respond criticizing Kelly for hurtful comments she makes on the show.
"It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too," she wrote. "To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others?"
Gaga's social media followers then got into the drama going after Kelly on Twitter. Enter Kelly’s mom, Sharon.
First, she asked Gaga to tell her fans to stop writing, quote, "libelous, slanderous and vile comments about my family, including death threats to Kelly." She added, quote, "I am calling you (Gaga) a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter. Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public?"
She also called Gaga hypocritical for wearing fur. "Shouldn't you be teaching your 'little monster' fans to respect animals and life?" she asked rhetorically.
Gaga fired back at Sharon’s comments over the weekend, writing, “The ‘real world’ can be cruel, why not try to change it into a better place? I am an activist. Nobody takes adolescents seriously, I do. My letter to Kelly Osbourne was open, because her statements on cyber-bulling were public & as a youth activist I’m compelled to be involved.”
Meanwhile, Kelly Tweeted that none of this chaos is bothering her. "I hope you guys realize that I don't care about any of this bull[crap]!" I know who I am I don't need anyone to tell me!... love to all xoxo." And when asked about it at a Hollywood event on Saturday, she said, quote, "All I have to say on this subject is that I love Lady Gaga!"
SPLITSVILLE IN BRITSVILLE - BRITNEY SPEARS ENGAGEMENT CALLED OFF: BRITNEY SPEARS announced over the weekend that she and fiancé Jason Trawick have ended their engagement.
According to TMZ, Jason has already been removed as Britney’s co-conservator, and Brit has already returned the $90,000 ring Jason gave her. The site claims kids were a major issue between the couple. Britney really wanted to add to her family, but while Jason loved Brit’s two sons, he did not want any more.
The breakup was supposedly amicable, but we may never know for sure. Word is Jason signed a confidentiality agreement, meaning he can't talk about the relationship.
Britney also confirmed that she won’t be back for season another of "The X Factor". Although her statement made it seem like it was her idea, on-set sources claim SIMON COWELL and the show's other producers weren't going to ask her back anyway.
Her lackluster judging style and anemic show ratings were deemed not worthy of her $15 million price tag.
WILL FERRELL NOT FUNNY - SO SAYS TOMMY LEE JONES: Many Golden Globe viewers last night were amused by WILL FERRELL and KRISTEN WIIG who teamed up to present the award for "Best Lead Actress in a Comedy or Musical." TOMMY LEE JONES was not one of them.
Ferrell and Wiig mentioned how they had been asked to watch all the films in their category before the show, and then proceeded to make up all this stuff about each of them.
As amusing as that was, the most hilarious part came when they were in the middle of mocking TOMMY LEE JONES’ "Hope Springs" costar, MERYL STREEP, and the camera cut to Jones -- who looked as un-amused as any grumpy old man can look with Will and Kristen's silliness.
LOHAN LUNACY - LISTEN TO LINDSAY BERATE CO-STAR: "New York Times Magazine"recently ran an article about what a nightmare LINDSAY LOHAN was on the set of "The Canyons".
And now, new audio has emerged that pretty much proves it. Check out this clip TMZ posted of Lindsay and her co-star rehearsing a scene and Linds suddenly going off on him telling him to, quote, "Do your [effing job]."(LISTEN)
Speaking of the New York Times article ... Get this y’all: Lindsay has actually admitted to being a pain in the butt during filming as documented in the article -- but she insists the allegation that she showed up drunk is not true.
Lohan has acknowledged that she was late a couple of times for shooting, that she was nervous about getting naked on camera and that she did get into it with the film's producers. But she says she never showed up drunk, and she certainly didn't drive away drunk.
SPLITSVILLE - POPULATION STEVEN TYLER: STEVEN TYLER and his fiancée, Erin Brady, have split, and a source says, quote, "It's over for good this time."
Steven and Erin were together for about five years. They got engaged and had a commitment ceremony in Hawaii last year.
COULD BE TRUE, COULD BE CRAP - BEYONCE AND JAY Z THROW BLUE IVY $200,000 FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY: Britain's not-always-reliable Sun tabloid claims BEYONCE and JAY-Z threw a party for their daughter Blue Ivy's first birthday, which reportedly set them back $200,000!
$95,000 of that was supposedly for pink and white roses, $2,000 for the cake, and $30,000 went towards swag for the guests. Oh, and their gift to their daughter? An $80,000 Barbie doll encrusted with diamond and jewelry made out of white gold.
