Sources tell TMZ Santa Monica police are convinced Lindsay lied to them last June when the car she was in rear-ended a big rig on the Pacific Coast Highway. Lindsay told the cops then she was not the driver, but now they're convinced she lied. Lying to the po-po is considered a crime punishable by one year.
LINDSAY LOHAN IS NOW A THEFT SUSPECT: Remember the report last week about LINDSAY LOHAN going to an overnight house party at the Hollywood Hills home of millionaire Sam Magid, and how he reported about $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses missing the next morning?
Initially Linds was not considered a suspect, but that has apparently all changed. A law enforcement source tell TMZ both Lohan and her assistant Gavin Doyle are now formally suspects.
Even though Magid has suspiciously recanted his story and now says nothing was taken, the gossip site says cops are not dropping the investigation because they believe they have independent witnesses who can confirm Lindsay and Gavin did indeed pilfer some of the items.
As you may recall ... LiLo is still on probation for stealing a necklace from a jewelry store, which means a new charge could result in a probation violation, sending her to jail.
I'll pause for a few seconds while we all laugh at how ludicrous that last sentence sounded. Of course she WON'T go to jail. Lindsay NEVER faces any real consequences for her actions. It's her superpower.
GINGER SPICE - IS RUSSELL BRAND HITTIN' DAT???: According to London's not-always-reliable Sun tabloid, RUSSELL BRAND and former Spice Girl GERI HALLIWELL, a.k.a. GINGER SPICE, are soooo doing it.
"They had met several times in the past," says their source, "but really got to know each other during the Olympics.
"They just clicked," continues the chatty source. "Things are getting very serious between them . . . they're a proper couple now.

KRIS HUMPHRIES ISN'T TO BLAME FOR DIVORCE DELAYS: Another high profile divorce isn't going as fast or as smooth as Tom and Katie's. KRIS HUMPHRIES and KIM KARDASHIAN's divorce is still pending, which has many wondering why it's taken so long to settle a marriage that only lasted 72 days. Well, Kris' legal team wants you to know he isn't the one dragging his feet.
A source said to be close to the situation broke it down to Radaronline: "Here are the facts . . . Kris had no intention of going after the men in Kim's life, meaning current boyfriend, Kanye West, but was forced to because her lawyer, Laura Wasser, formally subpoenaed his gal pal, Myla Sinanaj . . . Kris' legal team had no other choice but to go after her personal life as well, which means more witnesses to depose, and again, more delays.
Scheduling depositions for Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner have also been problematic, as both claim very chaotic schedules. Kris has a right to prepare for trial, and the longer the Kardashian clan drag their feet in scheduling depositions, the longer this thing is going to go on."
Long story short, with all of the depositions that have to take place, the divorce trial isn't expected to begin until 2013.
