They issued a statement saying, quote, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way. We will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority." Sources say they don't plan to officially divorce, at least for now. They've reportedly been apart since June when Bruce moved into their Malibu home full-time. Kris remains in Calabasas, California with her daughters.
As for why they split ... sources say Kris is addicted to celebrity, and Bruce wanted to live a much simpler life. Word is it was his idea to move out. She supposedly didn't want him to because ... wait for it ... it wasn't good for their show. But because Bruce ain't no dummy and knows which side his bread is buttered on, he'll still be a part of the show next season. In fact, TMZ says the split will become a big part of the story line.
Speaking of the show ... Is "Keeping up with the Kardashians" in danger of being kancelled? Radar Online reports the show has been sliding in the ratings lately. It used to boast nearly 4 million viewers a week in its hey day. These days they're barely hanging on to 1.7 million viewers.
