MERMAID FEUD - LADY GAGA vs. KATY PERRY!!! WHO YOU GOT???: Uh-oh, there could be a  beef between LADY GAGA and KATY PERRY over the mermaid look in the near future.

Katy, you see,  posted the above picture of herself  planking on the set of her upcoming video wearing a mermaid costume. Earlier this week, Lady Gaga hinted that her next video would feature Yuyi, her new mermaid alter ego.

Neither Katy nor Gaga have commented on this possible controversy,  but Gaga's choreographer Laurieann Gibson has: "Proud of my artist #1 in the world @LadyGaga her vision & passion. Even though they try to steal a tail, there's only 1 Mermaid. Swim On!!!" she Tweeted.

HALLE BERRY GETS RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST STALKER: After a weekend of stalker creepiness, HALLE BERRY has taken a restraining order out on an obsessed fan.

This past  weekend, the stalker sneaked onto her property twice in two days -- even getting close enough to peer in her window. The man, whom TMZ has indentified as Richard Franco, set off an alarm when he climbed over the actress's security fence this past Saturday.

Then, less than 24 hours later, Halle spotted him staring through her kitchen window at her, carrying a book of some sort. A police helicopter circled the area for more than 30 minutes , but authorities weren't able to find him anywhere near the area.

STALKER UNMASKED: According to TMZ, Franco may be more dangerous than authorities have let on. His criminal record includes a number of felony convictions -- including one for battery, which landed him in prison earlier this year. As part of his plea deal in that case, he was required to enroll in anger management classes.

LAPD Threat Management , which handles many serious celebrity stalker cases, told the gossip site that they have "concerns" about Franco. As a precaution, Berry was issued a restraining order against Franco that states he must stay 100 yards away from her, her home, her daughter, her car and her workplace.

ROMANCE REPORT - GEORGE CLOONEY AND SANDRA BULLOCK???!!!: GEORGE CLOONEY and SANDRA BULLOCK have been buddies for years, but friends are trying to convince them to take that friendship to another level.

The National Enquirer speculates that things MIGHT be heating up on the set of their new movie. A mutual friend tells the tab, "Sandy is glowing. George makes her laugh and her heart melts over how well he's bonded with [her son] Louis. They seem primed for a passionate love affair."

If that’s not convincing enough, the friend further speculates: “George's friends say he's been chasing women all over the world and maybe he never realized that his dream girl might be right under his nose.”

QUOTE/UNQUOTE: "(Friends with benefits) is like communism. Good in theory, in execution it fails. -- MILA KUNIS in an interview with GQ.

GUESS WHO DON'T SUE: When a gossip columnist or tabloid doesn't have enough evidence to support a claim about a celebrity, and naming them would probably result in a lawsuit, they instead drop clues via what is known in the gossip world as a “blind item”.

Here’s one from the latest issue of The National Enquirer: “What Latino comic's kinky ‘sexcapades’ were caught on video and are now making the rounds in Hollywood and on the internet? A disgruntled ex-girlfriend downloaded the dirty clips which show the funnyman in some very compromising positions!”

Who you got? The most popular guess is George Lopez, but of course, that doesn’t mean it’s him. It’s interesting to note, though, that the Enquirer broke the story 2 years ago that he was cheating on his wife which ultimately led to his divorce.

R.I.P: Sherwood Schwartz, who created Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch -- AKA a big part of our childhood -- died yesterday at the age of 94.

Schwartz not only created two of the most beloved shows in the history of TV, he also wrote their theme songs, which are also among the most popular in TV history.
