TODAY SHOW AIRS KRIS JENNER INTERVIEW INSTEAD OF 9/11 MOMENT OF SILENCE: NBC and 'The Today' show are catching a ton of heat for opting to show an interview with KIM KARDASHIAN'S mom, KRIS JENNER, yesterday morning instead of the moment of silence held in remembrance of the September 11th attacks.
At 8:48 am yesterday, the time when the first plane struck the World Trade Center in 2001, both 'Good Morning America' and 'CBS This Morning' cut to the moment of silence led by President Obama and the First Lady at the White House, and by members of the NYPD and FDNY near Ground Zero in Lower Manhattan.
'Today,' however, opted to stick with an interview with Jenner, in which she discussed her new breast implants.
NBC defended its decision saying it aired other segments about September 11th earlier in the morning. They evidently realized how poorly the decision came off though, because they showed the commemoration for the West Coast feed.

If you recall, last week the rumor was Jenner couldn’t understand why “America is so fascinated” with the show, calling Honey Boo Boo’s mom “a bad mom for exploiting” her child.
Kris, however, is denying reports of being a Boo Boo hater. In a recent interview, Jenner said she, quote, "[doesn’t] even really know who Honey Boo Boo is. I've never seen the show." She adds that she thought "Boo Boo" was a dog.
