LINDSAY LOHAN HIT-AND-RUN CASE DROPPED: LINDSAY LOHAN got some good news yesterday.

Prosecutors in New York have decided to drop the hit-and-run case that led to her arrest  in September after a man alleged she drove her Porsche into him while she was out partying.

After reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, prosecutors determined there was not enough evidence to convict Lindsay, so they dropped the case.

But Lindsay’s not totally off the hook -- the alleged victim can still sue her in civil court. That's likely where he'll find himself anyway as TMZ reports Lohan is planning to file a defamation suit against him.

Meanwhile ... Lindsay's dad, Michael, isn’t giving up his effort to get Lindsay into rehab. Sources tell TMZ he plans to go to court to try to get a conservatorship for his daughter. Michael will argue that Linds is an addict and is hanging with the wrong crowd, and that includes his ex-wife Dina Lohan.

But get this, he does not want to be appointed conservator a la Jamie Spears because he doesn't want people to think he did it just to get his hands on Lindsay’s money. All he cares is that Dina doesn't get the job, because he believes she enables Lindsay.

Word is  Lilo is now seriously considering a protective order against her dad.  TMZ says she's planning a family meeting in NYC sometime this week to figure out how to best proceed with the stay away order.

Okay, if you were the judge who had Lindsay and Dina Lohan asking for a protective against her dad, and Michael Lohan looking for conservator ship type powers of Lilo, which party would you side with and why?

IN DENIAL - LEA MICHELE NOT PREGNANT: 'Glee' star LEA MICHELE was photographed over the weekend wearing baggy clothes, and, as one tabloid put it, “trying to hide a bulge around her stomach area behind a huge black purse” leading to Internet speculation that she's gotten fetused by her costar and boyfriend, CORY MONTEITH.

Michele hit up Twitter to deny the story, writing with tongue firmly planted in cheek, “My first fake pregnancy rumor! I’ve finally made it!”

CELEBRITY COURT - BEY AND JAY DENIED 'BLUE IVY' TRADEMARK, BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN LOSES LAWSUIT AGAINST EX: Looks like BEYONCE and JAY-Z  won’t be able to make any money off their daughter’s name. The couple filed an application to trademark the name Blue Ivy in late January, which led to a lawsuit from event planning company in Boston that had the name since 2009.

Well, the event planning company has won, meaning Bey and Jay have no legal rights to the name. Word was they were hoping to trademark the name for use as a possible brand name for a line of baby-related products, including diaper bags, carriages and baby cosmetics

2. Mr. MEGAN FOX, Brian Austin Green, just lost a boatload of money in court. The former "90210" star sued Vanessa Marcil, the mother of his ten-year-old son, claiming that back in 2000 he lent her $200,000 which she never repaid.

When he tried to get the money back in 2011 she refused to hand it over, so he sued. But yesterday a judge ruled Green waited too long to pursue a legal claim on the money, and the statute of limitations had run out. Adding insult to injury, the court also ruled that Marcil could seek monetary damages from Green.
