CHARLIE SHEEN WANTS TO 'SAVE' LINDSAY LOHAN: CHARLIE SHEEN thinks he can save LINDSAY LOHAN. In one of those random TMZ interviews, Charlie tells the gossip site, quote, "[Lindsay] clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not."

"She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey. If she listens, she'll win."

Sheen and Linds became fast friends while working together on Scary Movie 5. He famously gave her $100,000 to help with her tax problems, and later assisted her in getting a dress for a gala event -- the one she later returned all torn up. Lindsay will soon be appearing in an upcoming episode of his FX show Anger Management.

LINDSAY TO CHARLIE - THANKS BUT NO THANKS: Sources close to Lindsay responded to Charlie's offer with a big, fat STFU. They tell TMZ that he has no business talking about her to the media, and claim she's been going to regular therapy sessions. Therefore, though she's grateful for his earlier assistance, she'll decline his mentorship.

UPDATE - JUDGE CALLS LINDSAY’S LAWYER INCOMPETENT: Lindsay Lohan received yet another legal blow Friday.

Her lawyer Mark Heller was in court trying to get Lindsay’s lying-to-the-cops case dismissed, but instead he got reamed by the judge.

TMZ reports that Judge Jim Dabney told Heller he was incompetent to practice law in California, and said Lindsay would have to either get another attorney or come to court to waive her right to a competent California lawyer.

The judge said Heller did not follow California law when he filed documents to get the case dismissed, so his request was denied. Lindsay’s trial is expected to begin March 18th.

TORI SPELLING FIRES BACK AT STAR MAGAZINE: TORI SPELLING is pissed at Star magazine. Earlier this week, the gossip rag printed a cover with photos of her, her husband Dean McDermott and their four kids, with the screaming headline "DIVORCE."

Tori says she'd normally just ignore that kind of stuff -- except that her five-year-old son Liam saw the magazine when they were standing in a checkout line at the supermarket and freaked out.

The fuming mad Spelling took to her website to put the publication on blast for upsetting her children with their "hateful" lies -- you can read her open letter to Star in its entirety here.

Tori, who doesn't ask for any kind of settlement or even an apology, concludes her post by writing, "Our children should never have to bear witness to lies and fabrications that affect their lives so that a media outlet can make money. That will always be wrong!" Question: Tori has no qualms about making money on her kids in her reality show. Isn't this a bit hypocritical?
