UPDATE - AMANDA BYNES' MOTHER GRANTED TEMPORARY CONSERVATORSHIP: AMANDA BYNES' mom, Lynne, has been granted temporary legal control over her daughter’s well-being and finances despite Amanda's court-appointed attorney's objections.

TMZ says the judge "based his decision in no small part on the findings of an investigator he appointed to evaluate Amanda's mental health." The conservatorship gives Lynne legal control over her financial and legal affairs. According to TMZ, her $4 million savings have been "rapidly depleted."

The temporary conservatorship will last until September 30th when the judge will hold a formal hearing on whether to make it permanent.

Meanwhile ... Doctors were granted a one-month extension on Amanda's psych hold on Friday after convincing the judge she was “gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder.” Bynes was originally placed on a 72-hour hold a few weeks ago after she started a fire in a woman's driveway. That hold was extended another two weeks.

On a positive note for Amanda ... she was reunited with her Pomeranian, Sherbert (above), a couple of days ago. Sources say she was thrilled to see Sherbert again and that it brought her a lot of comfort.

UPDATE - USHER STILL HAS CUSTODY OF HIS CHILDREN: USHER came out the winner of that emergency custody hearing requested by his ex-wife Tameka on Friday.

The judge called the incident in which their 5-year-old son Usher V almost drowned an "awful accident", but added that Usher's aunt who was watching him at the time did just as well as anyone else could have in that situation.

Tameka had submitted a list of qualifications she wanted in anyone who was entrusted to watch their two kids, but the judge told her, quote, "Your standards for caregivers are very high."

The judge did, however, encourage Usher to, “In the future you would be well advised to keep your former spouse informed about your whereabouts and who is taking care of the kids.”

Here's a photo of Usher trying to hug Tameka after the hearing. She doesn't look too receptive. (PHOTO)
