Katy also confirmed there had been "some conversations" about her playing the Super Bowl. "I would be honored, of course," she said, adding, "But I have let them know that I'm not the type of girl that would pay to play the Super Bowl, so the ball is in their field, honestly."

Not long ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that the NFL had reached out to Coldplay, RIHANNA and Katy Perry, asking them to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show this February, but they wanted them to pay for the privilege. According to the Journal, the exposure artists get is so valuable, they should share some of their future earnings in exchange.
