Nelly and his crew rolled up on the checkpoint Wednesday night in their tour bus, and give the recent history musicians have had there, the bus was naturally searched.
It didn't take long for the dog to sniff out a duffel bag containing 10 pound of marijuana, 36 small baggies of heroin, and a loaded .45-caliber pistol!
Nelly and the six other dudes on the bus were detained, but he and 5 others were subsequently released and sent on their merry way after one of the guys, Brian Keith Jones, took the rap for all of it.
Nelly said later that neither he nor the other guys on the bus "was aware of [Jones']decision to bring [the drugs and gun] on board." Man, I really hope Nelly plans to take care of this Jones guy's legal bill and any family he may have because that's one big fall to take for somebody. Allegedly.
IN DENIAL - LINDSAY LOHAN: LINDSAY LOHAN called TMZ yesterday to defend her mom and throw daddy Michael under the bus.
After getting into some kind of physical altercation with her momma, Dina, following a night of clubbing together, and then calling her dad for help, Lindsay is now saying she lied when she told him that Dina was all hopped up on cocaine. Linds told TMZ she was, quote, "really regretful about the argument and that she told Michael, quote, "a really hurtful and untruthful lie" about Dina, adding, "my mom does not do cocaine, clearly."
She then told the gossip site she had no idea her dad was recording the conversation, and accused Michael of cashing in on her fame.
Quote, "I think everyone kind of knows that my father's main objective has always been to discredit my mom and gain all he can from my name." Lindsay went on to say she "should have known better" than to call him, and was done with him again.

For the record, Michael told TMZ Wednesday Lindsay had asked him to record the call.
DINA IS IN THE HOLE FOR MILLIONS: We know now the early-morning spat between Lindsay and her mother was over Linds' $40,000 loan to her. Lindsay lent Dina the money because Dina was behind on her mortgage.
But the 40 grand she's in arrears is apparently just the tip of the iceberg. Records reveal Dina is in debt to the tune of $1.3 million! Dina owes another $300,000 to a former business partner for money she supposedly used to “kick-start Lindsay’s singing career”. Talk about a failed investment, huh?
