UPDATE - DENISE RICHARDS WILL NOT FACE CHILD ABUSE CHARGES: DENISE RICHARDS won't face any charges in the child abuse investigation involving CHARLIE SHEEN'S kids with Brooke Mueller.
Mueller went to L.A.'s Department of Children and Family Services claiming Richards had abused her own daughters as well as the twin sons Mueller had with Sheen. The boys had been living with Richards while Brooke was completing her 22nd stint in drug rehab.
A source tells Radar Online the department opened an investigation, but quickly found no wrongdoing on Denise's part. “Child welfare officers quickly established that there was no merit to Brooke’s claims," the insider said, adding "the case is closed."
The drama started last month when Denise told a judge she could no longer care for Brooke and Charlie's twins, saying they're out of control and put the blame squarely on Brooke and her lifestyle.
