TODAY IN JUSTIN BIEBER NEWS: JUSTIN BIEBER apologized for praying at a Japanese shrine in Tokyo honoring war criminals.
The Biebz posted two pictures of himself at the shrine on Instagram, one of him praying outside, and another with the caption, "Thank you for your blessings," but took them down and replaced them with an apology, which read in part: "I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan"
Although the memorial honors those who lost their lives in World War Two, the shrine is controversial because it also honors 14 convicted war criminals who committed atrocities throughout Asia, specifically in China and South Korea, and defends contentious parts of Japan's wartime aggression.
This comes almost a year to the day after Justin's trip to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, where he signed the guestbook, quote, "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber."
