CELEBRITIES BEHAVING BADLY - NIC CAGE: NICOLAS CAGE was arrested Saturday morning on domestic violence charges in New Orleans over the weekend after getting into a heated argument with his wife over the location of the apartment they were renting.

According to the police report, "Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address. (He)then began striking vehicles and later attempted to get into a taxi."

"At that point, an officer who had been flagged down by onlookers drove up on the couple, immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling."

TMZ claims Cage actually DARED the cops to take him in, saying, quote, "Why don't you just arrest me?" They honored his request, subsequently booking him on suspicion of domestic battery and disturbing the peace.

2.) It was Dog the Bounty Hunter who posted Nic's $11,000 bond Saturday afternoon. He later released a rather lengthy statement to the media explaining why he won't talk to the media about Cage's arrest. And yes, that *is* the very definition of 'irony'.

Dog said in part, "I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy. I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show."

3.) Prior to the early morning altercation, Cage was spotted in a tattoo shop, where word is he stumbled around and told employees he didn't remember where he lived.

BRITNEY GETS HER BOYS BACK: BRITNEY SPEARS is reportedly regaining custody of her two sons -- three years after having a public meltdown.

Word is she and KEVIN FEDERLINE have reached a deal which will allow her to take the boys on the road with her when her tour gets underway. A source told the Daily Express that your man K-Fed has no problem sharing custody and the deal just needs to be approved by a judge.

Meanwhile, DUI charges against her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, were dropped over the weekend as well. It was determined his blood-alcohol content was below the legal limit.
